Belfast's newest record shop

Hello, thanks for popping by to take a look at this blog. Seeing as we've never blogged before, this might take a bit of getting used to but we'll do our best.

So, here we are.

Dragon Records is Belfast's newest record shop and we're on the first floor of 58 Wellington Place in Belfast, between the Lounge Cafe and Up & Running. We try and stock as much interesting music as we can - indie, rock, psychedelic, soul, noise, jazz, blues, hip hop, funk, dance, experimental, reggae and so on...and we stock vinyl and CD.

We're also happy to buy and trade if we like the look of your stuff. If you've got anything sitting round your place that you think we might be interested in, pop in and let us have a look.

We're open Monday to Saturday, from 11 til 6 (we're open from 10 on Saturdays).

If you're a musician yourself, and have something to sell, drop in, we'll certainly help you get your music out there. The same goes for promoters - if you've got any flyers or posters that you'd like us to put up in the shop just drop some in.

It's early days for us, we've been open about seven weeks, and any feedback about the shop is welcome, whether on this blog, or on our Facebook (Dragon Records Belfast), MySpace (http://www.myspace.com/dragonrecords), Twitter (http://twitter.com/DragonRecordsBT) or on the local music forum for Northern Ireland, Fastfude (username is Dragon Records).

So if you want some Zun Zun Egui, Stereolab, Ornette Coleman, Super Furry Animals, Gravitar, Tortoise, Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, Black Dice, Therapy?, Garbage, Biohazard, King Tubby, The Jesus & Mary Chain...you get the picture...pop in and see if anything takes your fancy.

We'll try and update this as and when stock comes in or we have something interesting to tell you. We're expecting some new stock in this week and next, and also copies of Stool Pigeon magazine, so keep your eyes peeled for that.
